Be Kind No Matter What!

10 years ago, I was faced with a difficult decision; of course, a million thoughts flooded my brain back then: Am I doing the right thing? I shouldn’t have done this, that; This is terrible, and so on.  But these thoughts had me frozen, and I had to do something else: So I shifted my attention to what I could do; I realized that I have all the tools I needed to take action.  I had knowledge, experience, family, friends, health, and guts.   I started looking at what I did have, and something extraordinary happened:  I felt grateful.  So instead of facing challenges as terrible obstacles to overcome, I welcomed them with my heart full of gratitude.

We have all embarked on this journey of discovery and constant learning since the day we are born, and being thankful brings us joy and happiness.  Here we will explore 3 learnable skills we can add to embrace gratitude.

Say Thank You, No Matter What!

Life happens!   When things go our way, we are thankful! The difficult task is to be grateful when things don’t go our way.  (And 2020 has been challenging for many.)   When we say thank you, we can recognize the situation for what it is to take action.  Fighting it will leave us frozen in time.

Saying thank you will move us towards what we really want.  It is up to us to look within and find all those skills and strengths we have learned along the way and put them to good use!!!

See Kindness, No Matter What!

Life happens in community! Looking at and noticing other people’s kindness moves us.  Let’s look around us and see how others rise to the occasion.  If this is a kindness pandemic, notice the symptoms:  a desire to be kind to others, joy, and a warm feeling in our hearts.

Let’s make this contagious, and have a Kindness pandemic!!!

Be Kind To Yourself, No Matter What!

Taking care of our needs is not selfish!  Before we can be generous and kind to anybody else, we must practice it first by being considerate, patient, and compassionate with ourselves.  Treat ourselves the same way we want to be treated by others.  Then, let’s spread the joy all around; it is contagious.

Saying thank you, seeing the kindness, and being kind are doable tasks even when we face tough times. The best part, it will create a life of appreciation and joy.  I dare you you be thankful for everything that happens in your life.  I myself will take on that challenge, after all, it is always good to remind ourselves to be joyful.

Let’s start the kindness pandemic, share this article and joy everywhere.

Today is a good day to be grateful!  Thank you!
